Helping Grow the Next Generation Of Entrepreneurs.
In addition to mentoring about 20 start ups, I teach several entrepreneurship courses at San Diego State University. The courses I teach or have taught are:
Mostly, I teach undergraduates since they seem to want to learn and risk the most. They are already eating Top Ramen and feel they have little to lose. It's fairly easy, if they have a solid idea, to convince them to create a business model, test it with potential customers and learn what they don't know. They are creative and fearless when it comes to online marketing, Kickstarter or anything eCommerce. Recently I featured one of the start-ups I mentor in a research case study paper that was submitted and accepted to the Journal of Organizational Design on How to Design a Triple Bottom line Company. More information on publications or appearances in editorial articles can be found on my LinkedIn In February of 2015, my book was published. Fail Fast or Win Big. It's intended to help people start a business and hopefully become an entrepreneur. Here is a podcast interview with my insights on why I wrote the book: Fail Fast or Win Big Interview with Author. My second book, Simply Brilliant came out in September of 2016 and it's on how everyone can be more creative. Listen to the free podcast interview here. My third book, Brands and Bulls**t came out in October 2017. My fourth book, Startup Culture Mindset was published in 2018. |
